ok .... I have set up this TBS disco and all seams well with the settings but just one thing thats bugging me ..... i have seen loads of videos on YouTube and i seen a video that says all motors should start to spool up together from idle..... now i cant find the video again to see how to cure it.... can anyone tell me if its the KK2.0 or ??? that i have to change the settings of to sort it out ? :hmm:

thanks in advance

Col_M

In the Misc settings menu you can set the minimum throttle to 20 for that.
TBS Discovery : DRQ-250 : Q450 : Blade mQX

Fazerboy

tryed that .... but the default was already set to 10 as it was

Gaza07

Have you calibrated the esc';s ? doesnt the kk2 have a built in calibration routine that uses clothes pegs to hold certain buttons ?

Fazerboy

i have the DJI Opto ESC';s  ... dont they already come pre calibrated ? or can i still go through and calibrate them ?

Gaza07

The calibration routine is to set them upto your transmitter so I doubt they can be pre done, did you get and paper work with them to describe how they should be calibrated if its needs to be done  ~~

its the throttle range your calibrating.
REMOVE PROPS...REMOVE PROPS...REMOVE PROPS...
turn tx on throttle full up
hold down 1 and 4 then power up board wait for confirmation  beeps.
lower throttle wait for comfirmation beeps.
done..

Fazerboy

tryed that ..... pressed button 1 and 4 powered it up and on the screen it says its Calibrating and a constant beeping..... so i thought i might have been doing it wrong so went onto trusty Youtube and checked out a few videos to see if i was doing it wrong... nope ... did it the same way...

im sure i seen something about the Opto ESC';s and there calibration somewhere .....

tbh .... the rotors not all starting up together doestnt seam to be effecting the flying so might just have to put up with it  :hmm:

will keep looking for answers though

How does that work then?  I thought you had to connect motor 1 to M1?  I have a BEC in my motor 1 ESC so not a problem for me :)

I think that';s only for SimonK flashed ESC';s?

Take the red and black wires out of the bec servo connector. Take the red and black wires out of the DJI ESC servo connector, put the bec red and black wires into the slots in the DJI ESC servo connector. Connect the bec  up to power source and plug esc servo connector into position 1 on KK2 board..
