Thought I would put a bit up about my quad that I finished Sunday, this is my first flying vehicle and didnt have loads of money to spend on something that will end up in the dirt.

So I bought a cheap 450mm frame off ebay, one of the very popular white and red fiberglass ones.  I sat with the frame on the bookcase for ages, and then got a kick up the ass to finish it, so a quick order to hobbyking for this:

Hobbyking KK2.0 Multi-rotor LCD Flight Control Board
Hobby King Quadcopter Power Distribution Board
PolyMax 3.5mm Gold Connectors 10 PAIRS (20PC)
10CM Male to Male Servo Lead (JR) 26AWG (10pcs/set)
Turnigy L2210C-1200 Brushless Motor (150w)
Turnigy Multistar 20 Amp Multi-rotor Brushless ESC 2-4S
Turnigy Multistar ESC Programming Card
Zippy Flightmax 2100mAh 3S 35C Lipo Pack
Turnigy balancer & Charger 2S-3S
HobbyKing HK6S 2.4Ghz FHSS 6Ch Tx & Rx (Mode 2)

Then ordered a load of the normal bits, 9x4.7 props, 10x4.5 props, battery strap etc.

Long wait for the gear to arrive, then a £30 customs charge

Didnt fly to well in the start, through a number of issues, however as of today now I have mounted the board properly, flashed the 1.5 modified firmware on the KK, and flashed simonk';s firmware to the ESC';s.

Everyone likes some pics, so........

Hi Avengerpenguin I';m pleased to hear you have it all sorted out now the pictures look great  ~~
Having the v1.5 firmware and simonk flashed esc';s really does make a huge difference to the way these things handle, I seem to recall that the author of the code for the kk2 (kapteinkuk) wrote and tested it using simonk flashed esc';s so it is always going to be better with them  ~~
