I am in the process of upgrading my F/C to NAZA. My current Rx is a cheap Orange 6 channel.

The Rx';s are listed on hobbyking webiste for <$6 so I am assuming that they are a real budget item and therefore the performance cant be that good.

I use a Spektrum DX8 Tx, can you please recommend me a decent Rx.

There is nothing wrong with the Orange rx, quite often they give better range checks than genuine Spectrum rx';s but if you are adamant then the AR6210 with satellite rx is as good as you can get. Personally I would not bother having used the Orange ones on planes and gliders without any problems for a while now, that said I';ve never carried any photographic equipment on board.

I would get a AR8000 because it can be setup with the naza failsafe not all rx';s support the correct fail safe feature but the ar8000 does and Im pretty sure some of the 7000 range do to  ~~

you can get one from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPEKTRUM-AR8000-DSM-X-DSM2-2-4ghz-8ch-RECEIVER-DX8-DX7S-NEW-UK-WARRANTY-/190816493495?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item2c6d8c9fb7

Thanks

I wont rush into anything then, I was jsut alittle concerned about the range. What can you really expect for <$6.

I';d hate to write of a Hex for the sake of saving a few quid on a Rx

Really but does the Futaba S-Bus work with the FrSky version ? I cant see futaba allowing that, after all it was futaba that added daft tabs to their plugs to make them different from every one elses, I had to snip em all of when I changed to Spektrum

Never had an issue with range using the Orange RX';s. All but two of my models have them on and in my experience they do range test better than the Spektrum equivalent.

But it';s your money...
