Charge Rates

Newbie question:-

What rate do you charge your LiPo';s?

I realise that 1C is fine, but can you safely use 2C or even 3C.

Really depends on the brand how high you can go, but most of the quoted figures would be exaggerated I would think. Charging at more than 1c is also rumored to shorten the life of the packs.

I charge all mine at 1c unless I am in a real hurry, which isn';t very often at all, and then only 1.5 - 2c.

If you stick to 1C your lipos will last longer, but most decent quality ones will charge at 2C ok but don';t make a habit of it at this charge rate make sure you watch them all through - at some stage it might bite you in the ar5e if you don';t!
