Stripping down my F450 and working out where im going to put everything

Very nice - it will be interesting to hear you opinion on how it flies compared with the frame you took the bits off as the two are quite similar except for the slightly different layout.

putting the 450 on top the arms are longer and the length is longer so i think it makes it a 550 measured the cable lengths of the quattro and there just long enough to reach motors

bugger the lawns and house work  ::)

put on old motors to check out wiring and just to see how it would look new motors will take a week or so to arrive
FPV gear will go on after test flight

Also coming with motors is black spiral wrap to replace the clear

not so far( even flying round house got static and didnt go blue) but the screen is not my primary fpv i use video glasses for distance but the screen is handy for the minim osd info when armed and gps lock (my video rx has dual outputs) so when i can see everything is all set i turn off screen and use glasses

it is a spare align 600 helicopter landing gear
can get them cheap from hobby king under hk600 parts

Sorry to bump an old topic but, what settings did you change on the crius board to adapt for the other than x motors locations?

Yet another bump for an old topic, how did the APM 2.5 go, settings etc. Many thanks for the undercarage tip. What's your arrangement for attaching the battery?
