So if I read the docs right if I connect S1 of my CRIUS Pro v2 board to some dohicky and then to my D8R-II Plus I should get altitude and GPS coordinates from the board back to a screen attached to the TX.

The dohicky is basically a 1k Resistor on the 5v line a 10k one in the s1 TX line taken through an NPN transistor and plugged into the RX pin on the D8R-II Plus

Trouble is I tried doing this tonight and it looks like I';m doing something wrong.

I changed the define to OSD_PROTOCOL_FRSKY and if I measure the voltage between ground and the S1 TX pin I';m seeing a fluctuating voltage ... do the same between Ground and the rx pin on the D8R and I';m also seing a fluctuating voltage but much lower.

Anyone got this working and have any tips to offer ?

Doh ... never mind ... it helps if you have the Transistor round the right way  :whistling:

Barney,

I had this going a while back..   it works pretty well.. the circuit is a signal inverter..
There is also another way to do it by using a JDIO board which talks direct to Mavlink..

Yeah got it going ... wasn';t seeing anything from the x,y,z accelerometers but I wasn';t flying it, but got info on altitude and GPS position so it is working now
