HJ-H4 reptile ??

Toying with yet another build, keep looking at the HJ-H4 reptile and thinking sunnysky 2216 800kv 10" props and 4s lipo, any one built this drone and what do you think of it? also what is the motor to motor size?

It';s a nice frame,the subdeck holds the ESC';s and pdb very  tidy.
Mine is built for duration  flight,its relatively slow but nice and stable.
It carries a gopro gimbal very well.
I';ve used emax 3506 650kv  with 11/4.7 carbon props. On 4 cells
Motor too motor is 60cms.

I have a decision to make because if i go for this frame build i would have to sell the S550 hex, this reptile would be more portable and a little larger in the sky, tempting though, i seem to remember reading that it does not have a PDB, not a deal breaker though

It seems that there are a few different six HJ-H4 frames some at 450 some at 600

I think you should keep the 550 and get the HJ-H4 anyway. You could probably double up on spares, too.

As for the PDB - I found it useful on my 550 build, but haven';t missed having one at all with smaller quads. I';ve even looked at stand-alone and custom-built PDBs for future builds.

The frame does look nice on that HJ-H4, though.....

I made my own pdb out of a couple of strips of copper clad circuit board mounted on nylon bolts and washers . (maplin ) The esc were mounted at each corner of the internal box section ,one of my tidyist builds.

And as mentioned above keep the s550,

Lu-man you really dont want me to sell your S550 virtual sibling, hell they were both born at around same time, i think my one came out of the Naza womb first, cant give the space for 2 large drones

Heheh. Yes, your baby was a little earlier than mine, although I went for the Tarot in the end :)

And space is an issue... I';ve got my 550 under the bed at the moment (much to my wife';s dislike), with my W-607 hex, Ghost quad and Robocat under the stairs, and my STOL 500 and Diamond 1100 in the Summer House....

If I trade my SUV in for a TRansit wan, then I';ll have space for the kids AND a mobile hangar...

Your as bad as me for collecting these flying machines, i have the P3, S550, Armattan 355 tricopter (waiting for maiden) i am building a wooden T copter, building an F330 (might sell this) and have an Elfie as well plus a JJRC H36
