FPV Skywalker 550 Build

Well, the frame plus some other useful bits have arrived from here.

I will start to build this Quad and post what I have done and intend to do here.

As yet, I am still waiting for the MCB from RCTime that includes some UZV stuff here.

So, I have a few pictures that I will post.

The first picture is the box with the frame in it. Not much to see other than it is unbranded.

The second pic is of one of the motors that I have bought for it. It is an Emax 2213 935kv motor complete with CW and CCW 10x4.5 props.

Here are some extras that I have purchased from Unmannedtechshop.

First is a 4xesc throttle hub that will allow me to calibrate all 4 esc';s at the same time! Hopefully it will work and save a lot of time and effort.

Second are some LED lights that will help with orientation. I also intend to add some other LED lights to the front from http://www.lightingforaeromodellers.co.uk/.

Third are some Anti-Vibration M3x8 dampers. Hopefully these will work and help to isolate the control board.

I can';t build the rest of the FPV550 cause I require a Power Distribution Board. For this, I intend to use one for a QuadCopter so that I have extra connections to add a Brushed ESC to controk the lights. These lights will be switchable from the TX and will provide the necessary voltage for all the LED';s. A very cost effective one giving around 20amps can be bought from HobbyKing for under £4! Bargain

So, that';s it for now. I am thinking about getting a slightly more robust Quad from Hobbyking like the SK450 to learn on and to really get used to the Crius v2 board.

We shall see........

Oh! I forgot to post that I have built the arms and started on the bottom plate already!

These went together well, just lots of bolts and spacers!

Now waiting for the Power Distribution Board and the ESC';s.

Sorry for the delay folks.

I was concentrating on getting my SK-450 in the air and using that as a test bed to learn on.

I';ve now had it in the air on default settings so will be tuning over the next few flights. Once I get the hang of this, the gear will be moving to this frame.

I';ll continue the build then.

Ok, SK450 is going well still trying to iron out a few issues though.

Have not done much on the FPV450. Power Board is in, Motors & ESC';s are attached and the bottom plate is on. I have also mounted some heli skids! Pictures to follow.

Now waiting to get a few more parameters sorted and much more flying in on the SK450 before I transfer the gear over to the FPV anf mount a KK V2 board on the SK450.

Starting to really get into this!.
