Gaza - can you make the subject line section in the forum topic list wider? It's cutting off the subject field really short.

Can not get bluetooth to transfer data

Hi guys.
I have an APM 2.5 and got this bluetooth unit

its at the correct baud rate (115200) and i changed the connector so that it corresponds with the 4 pin mini ';telemetry'; connector slot on the APM 2.5 . Everything is connected as it should - GND, Rx, Tx, +5V as it is on the APM2.5 (UART0/2)

The bluetooth module powers up fine, and pairs fine to my PC or my Android phone. The problem i have is that even though it is paired, and the correct COM port selected, the Mission planner i will not connect to it the Mavlink data just keep on timing out.
when i try with 2 different apps on my android (Andropilot and copterGCS) the 2 items link up fine but the Mavlink send or receive any data.

Can anyone help me find out what the problem is?

I have had trouble with BT on the Crius. My phone will pair off the bat and transfer data but with either my aging PC or laptop I have to use a BT USB and it fails all the time even though it is paired.

I think I';ll just go for 3DR radio. The BT is far too unreliable and with a 10m range all but useless unless you are sat right next to the quad.

my crius bt will only work on baud 9600..
it works so itll do..
dont grow up,just buy bigger toys!!!!

very true about the limited range, i only wanted it so that i could stop taking the bulky laptop out to the field with me and use my phone instead. i intend to sit next to the craft when i alter any settings so bluetooth should have no problem with range.

You probably need your module setting up for 115200 using a terminal program  ~~

the one thing i have found is that if i use the usb to mission planner then later when i want to use bluetooth it wont connect unless i unplug the bluetooth then plug back in and it connects straight away
