I';ve connected one of the rotary pots on my tx to channel 6 on my crius.  Only problem is now I don';t actually know whats best to do with it.  I';ve heard of people using it to control airspeed when navigating between waypoints in auto pilot but I dont really use auto pilot much yet.

What do you guys use it for??

only used mine for fine tuning PIDs

Can you elaborate on that a bit firey?  I';ve seen the list of possible PIDs you can connect it to.  Don';t really get how it works tho.  Does it log the last setting that the pot sets it to...?

in the PID page on MP you have a small drop down box  near the bottom of pid list that you select what channel 6 does
you can select the PID to tune
you set your limits for the pot there also say your PID is 4.5 you can set it to dial between 4.3-5.0
then when your testing  the quad you slowyly turn the pot till you get it just right then you connect up to MP go to PIDS page and then write to system then disable that channel 6 pid and select another
it just gives an easier way of fine tuning
i have blutooth and use my andriod phone out on the field for doing this

Ahh. gotcha.  Sounds pretty simple.  Will give that a go.

Do you use MegaPirateNG or MultiWii?  I';ve got an android phone and would be interested in having a go at the bluetooth thing.....Is the app called Android GCS??

no worries

when your using the pot for trimming PIDS you just have to remember to read first from the quad when you get your desired setting and that will set it in MP then change to another PID or disable then write back to quad
