In the process of building the Titus 600 tricopter and i was going to put an APM GPS controller in but i keep looking at the KK2 controller and wonder if its worth going with this set up.........the 600 is not going to be a camera ship and i fly my Phantom in atti mode a fair bit, the way i see this is GPS would be nice but acro might be fun as well, so APM or KK2?

Only you can decide that bud. You know the pros and cons of them both. They';re both 8bit so will fly similarly. The KK will work with a digital or analogue servo whereas the APM really need analogue. Neither are great for tri';s IMO.

I think my plan might be to get a KK and try it, if i dont like it i can still bung an AMP or maybe get a pixhawk, the kk will only waste me about £13, not a lot in the grand scheme

David Widenstall is now using F3FC boards on his Tricopters, must be good reasons for this. He';s used KK, KK2, KK2.1X, Naze32 and now this new (ish) one. You will never see anyone making bad remarks about his setups - they are as reliable as you can get with a Tricopter.
I use KK2 minis on mine but am looking at the newer boards with interest.

Not heard of the F3fc but too late as i found a KK2 on ebay complete with usb updater for a tenner, so i now have a KK2 on route, as said the plan is not for a gps camera ship, think more on the lines of lots of bright led ufo space ship

You really won';t go wrong with the KK2, it';s really easy to set up, biggest reason for me using them, they just work - not the most sophisticated but does the job.
