The fibreglassing part is easy, the sanding it smooth is the pain!

I used to have a job once.  In that job I used to do a lot of fiberglassing of bits for a small microlight aircraft.  I was the worst fiber-glasser who ever worked there so they only let me make the box that went round the control stick  ~~

However that taught me a few things...keep your scissors clean as a whistle.  If you cut the cloth with resin covered scissors its a bad thing your scissors get all gummed up and it messes up the cloth.

Keep you hands and fingers clean or you get covered in  bits of glass fiber and pull the cloth away when you touch it.  Use gloves, the chems are pretty nasty for your skin.  You can clean up resin with meths.

Use a stiff bristled brush to stipple the resin into the cloth or a small rubber roller specially for the job.  Make sure you don';t put too much resin on.  You don';t want wet puddles of resin.  Squeegee it about until its all absorbed by the cloth and add a bit more.

Trim the cloth when the resin is "green", before its gone hard.

Don';t mix up too much resin at once, it will go off and be a waste but more importantly the container its in can get REALLY HOT as it goes off.

I used to end up like some kind of fluffy fiberglass covered snowman at the end of a shift..I never got much better than that and they had to "let me go"

If you are just skinning kit with lightweight glass  Delux Materials sell Eze-kote resin,its water based and don';t smell.  I';ve used it on foam wings and veneer covered wings ,good stuff  ::)

Only one bit of advice;

Do not get fibre glass fibres or dust particles in your eyes! It can be incredibly painful and take months to properly recover from. Happened to a friend of mine.
