Got the Naza on the quad last night and all set up apart from i can';t seem to get any sort of fail safe set up

My radio is a stock Flysky X9 which in the standard RX has no programmable fail safe function but  i assumed the Naza would still spot a total loss of signal ?

The AIOP with multiwii could spot loss of signal can the Naza not do this ?

At the moment it looks like i';m going to have to upgrade the TX module and RX to FrSky to get a fail safe which was not on the budget list   unless any one knows different ?

Steve,

Your right you need failsafe on the rx for the Naza.. some other FC';s you can set channels to spot link loss.. but its not ideal anyway..

Cheapest way to get failsafe in your Transmitter is the Orange OpenLRS... or FrSky.

Orange will run on 459Mhz @ 100mw... so much longer ranger.. but its not plug and play like the FrSky

I got the DJT module for my 9XR and loving it im not running telemetry TX just normal but it still gives me signal fade beep warnings tho

if your 9x is stock consider the smartieparts board for (er 9x )  its a plug n play no soldering and also if you wanted telemetry you can get the telemetry TX and they also have a board that plugs into the DJT module and can display the data on the 9x screen
