I recently purchased one of these for getting myself back into flying again, in some ways it was good in others not so good; i';ll explain!
This model has a 720p camera on board and is of completely different construction to the original x4. The result is a very durable copter that is very stable and produces reasonably  ok video footage. It is very stable even in expert mode - just completely different to the original x4. Its advantage is that it is very easy to fly for a beginner even in expert mode, the downside being that it is likely to be quickly outgrown by the average flyer.
For myself it';s a nice relaxing little model that has the advantage of having a camera on board. If you want more from your purchase then buy the old type x4, it';s a lot livelier.
Another downer for some will be the proprietary batteries, they are not like anything else on the market, that said I have acquired a couple of spares on line for a reasonable price. The tx is an improvement on the original especially for me as it can be mode switched between mode 2 and mode 1. The sticks are both centre sprung which makes the mode swap easier. When the quad is armed the motors spin up and need throttle to lift off.
You have expert and headless modes activated by pressing the correct stick and buttons on the top of the tx for photo / video. You can adjust the rates of each mode - standard from 20% to 60% and expert from 60% to 100%, the defaults are 40% and 100%.
Charging the batteries is done by plugging the on board charger into a usb port / plug so there is no seperate charger which means you can';t charge whilst flying - no biggie for me but could be for some. The micro sd card (not supplied) is plugged in on the underside and is easy to get at.
I have tested the video out this afternoon, looks ok to me (it';s on the bottom of the caravan site mine is on).
Anyway a couple of piccies of what you get and an unedited video:

It was a bit breezy and was struggling to cope even on expert mode, not anything like the old x4!!!

Nice, sounds like fun, are you still getting the "other one"
Volantex Ranger 1600/2000, Ranger 1200 G2, Phoenix S 1600 AR900 Miniskyhunter, ZOHD Dart 635 and a few 680 batwings plus old faithful C1 chaser and a lot of eagletree guardians

It';s OK, and really easy to fly my Inductrix is better but no camera. Like I say it';s a bit lame compared to the old x4 but good for what it was designed for.
Yes I am getting the H501s, it';s on its way somewhere between China, Holland and here - tracking is a bit sketchy but it could be in Post Office hands soon.

Yes, see about it when i';ve had a look at it; not sure what to do yet.

OMG! I didn';t know you can change modes! Being a lefty, I fly mode 1 and I';ve been holding off playing with my Hubsan while I';m making the change from angle to rate mode on my big quad in case it messes with my delicate muscle memory.

Gonna give that a go :)

That only applies to the centre sprung tx ';s, the old type don';t do you have to get your hands on the correct mode.
I used to fly mode 2 until I started flying Planes,  I';m not left handed just prefer separating the primary controls (elevator and ailerons) I find it suits me better.
There are getting more mode swappable tx';s out there now on the rtf models, which is great; the H501s that is on its way to me is also mode swappable in the same way.

Just gave that a spin on my newer style TX (without the fake antenna). Hold sticks up and outwards, turn on, release and press the left stick button - hey presto M1.  ~~
To get back to M2, hold sticks up and left, turn on and press left stick button.

the throttle seems to be centred around the middle as my right stick is centre sprung (I think you need to do a calibration to resolve that).

Trouble is when I pull the throttle only the left two motors power up... no time to look further into this today but worth a follow up.
