Had another negative encounter, it's been a few years since the last one, just an uneducated ******, going on about drones being illegal yada yada yada.    :-/
Still that didn't spoil my flying time, had an absolute blast  ~~

Just fixed a busted SMA connector on my TBS unity pigtail, it suffered badly in a recent crash and split in two, nothing a touch of the soldering iron couldn't fix  :D

Hi All,

As you know I got into this hobby through the discovery of the Hubsan Micro Quad, and I know that it will lead to bigger and greater things!

All I can say is thanks to this forum especially DarrellW in particular for their support and getting me in the air despite a first faulty quad (I have a second now and it rocks).

I am blogging my progress on a blog:

http://quadevo.blogspot.co.uk/

Its not listed on google or on any search engines so you must go to the exact link above. I will document my progress on my blog as well as here too, so hopefully one day if anyone follows my footsteps it will hopefully put them on the right path in the micro quad hobby.

Cheers All,

Alex

By the way, the new replacement Hubsan is a winner thanks to DarrellW! :)

Glad you';ve found it rocks, I did as well but to me flying mode 2 took too much thinking about!
I like your blog and think it would be a good idea if there was some referenc to it on the forum so prospective beginners could have a look, I have to say my start in flying RC models was not easy and resulted in me changing direction several times. Now I fly Fixed wing, Helicopters and Quadcopters - not to a very high proficiency level but good enough to enjoy it.
Good luck and I hope you get what you want out of the hobby,
Best wishes
Darrell
I think..........I think I am........therefore I am.............I think!

Nice blog Alex. I';m being nitpicking I know, but it pays to check your spelling. I get my Mrs to proof read my musings, as I can';t spell for toffe.

Great idea about the legs for your Hubsan, where did you get them from?

Hi, in all honesty, the spelling really doesn';t bother me, but I will make an effort to check it!

Hi Alex,

I hope you don';t think I was making any criticism of either you or your blog, its a great read, its just that I';m a bit anal sometimes about that sort of thing. Keep up the good work, I';ll keep dipping in to see how you are getting on.

I promise I wont mention the ';S'; word ever again!  ::)

AlexEssex

Honestly pal, it';s cool, I was not the slightest offended or anything like that, just never really been bothered too much about spelling in blogs, its a blog (a quick write for me) and that';s what blogging is about for me, quickly getting your thoughts out on paper without giving too much thought, at least that';s what I thought blogging was! Glad you like it nether the less!

Speak soon pal.

Alex
