2 or 3 Axis Gimbal on a Quad or tri

Hi all

It will soon be time for me to think about adding a camera to my setup for HD filming and was wondering about adding a gimpal to enhance the filming.

It will probably go on my Tri as that is big enough to take all the extra weight but it might also find a home on my quad as well.

So for basic filming what is best (if there is such a thing) 2 Axis or 3

Thanks for any input on this

Paul

Imho 2 axis is best for hobby use.

Cheaper and lighter than 3axis and yaw fidget is very easily stabilised when editing.

You can get a decent 2 axis gopro gimbal for 30 quid delivered stick a yi on and you can get very decent video with no messing about.

Is it possible to mount a gimbal on an Alien X450 or the like upside down, so that the camera is not going to be the landing gear ?

Friskle

Some Gimbals can be mounted upside down, i know the Feiytech G3 2 axis gimbal can, as they also advertise it for mounting on the top of a plane, but its not the cheapest around, i had one, and had it mounted upside down a few times on a plane to test it out, worked great.
