This is my ground station so far..

Maplin foam Briefcase £35

Speaker tripod mount.. this was a great buy of Ebay £20 delivered.

Bolted an adapter to bottom of briefcase... which makes the whole thing very sturdy. £5
Firstpersonview DVR for OSD / Video recording. £100

Lilliput high res / high contrast 7" LCD for others to view. £120

ImmersionRC Duo 5800 diversity receiver, (£176)

SpiroNET 13db  Panel, (£50.99),
Spiro Omni on 2nd channel.

The Duo and SpiroNET  is fitted to a tripod pan and tile mount, (£16),  on top right of briefcase.. and can be angled and panned. Other side of briefcase has a tripod ball mount for attaching a camera for recording flight. (£5)

The Duo5800 will also provide the video feed to my goggles.

3S batt provides powered to LCD Monitor, and also a 5v UBEC for DVR power.

Still waiting on some cables to finish.. but just about there.

After an initial hicup my ground station worked very well today..  although need to make it more portable.. and attache some straps to carry the tripod..

My cheap £24 7" LCD Reversing monitor work fine..

Arty pic from today..
