Foamboard Pylon racer!!!

Actually it';s not that fast for a Pylon racer but for the airframe it only costs the price of a sheet of foamboard, a length of 9mm dowel and some 3mm birch faced ply ( and some hot melt).
It';s very simple to build and parts needed to complete are cheap.

It looks to me to be a great cheap introduction to model aircraft that go that bit faster!!!

i know i have many other planes etc, but the foam homemade ones are so much fun, no worries if you crash, i have a good few sheets of Depron, will make this i think, i also made two and doubled up, a lot sturdier and takes the wind slightly better.

Depron sheet or foam board, best things ever invented :)

just brought this one from my Mums last night, was the last one my Dad made before his Motor nuerones became to much.

That looks a lot more elegant than Mickeys, his really has a lot of power for how well it goes so not that efficient; that said it';s a foamboard Pylon racer and it works!!!

yep, will defo make that, i like that look of it :)

just printed it, so off we go after tea :) should only take an hour . but good test for the new glue gun :)

Wont be doing all the faffing with all that rod though on the Ailerons, not needed really, but will also add a 3mm depron support down the rear vertical to the tail. just for a bit of extra rigidity, will post pics when done :)
