cc3d failsafe different types - what to use

It all seems to be working but i have a couple of jobs to finish before she gets the props on

I was trying to get my head round failsafe options.

I have the rx failsafe working so if i turn off the tx then after a second or so throttle goes to neutral then 5 seconds later disarms so that bit seems to be covered.

Should I set failsafe on the cc3d as well (in case my rx locks up or the wires get pulled??) Could anyone point me to a resource for this? a few of the links i found go to the defunct openpilot forum pages

lastly - does anyone set a throttle cut to zero on a tx switch? is it necessary if you have the other failsafes?

Yes, I have   tbh I set this by accident, don';t know how. It was only yesterday putting new esc';s on my 250. On openpilot tx setup it has asigned one of the 2 position tx switches to a failsafe motor cut   not particularly bothered by this.

Mine has the rx failsafe also like you mention.

Thanks for the replies. I have been through the librepilot forums, but couldnt find what iwas looking for i may well create an acount and post there, butit was frustrating that a search result came up for OpenPilot whihc seems completely defunct now which is a shame as there was probably a fair bit of history there.

I will try and figure out the switch, unfortunately mine definitely wont set itself by accident :-) I thought i had the lost model buzzer setting correct but oddly after i activate it it doesn';t like deactivating which seems to be a bit of a lottery!

The buzzer is on the pdb linked with a servo cable, so i put that in  a spare output channel activated the input channel and linked them. its odd i see the sliders work in LP as expected but on occasion it simply wont stop the buzzer when i test it!
