12-o-copter?

So was tidying up today and I have both hexcopters here at the moment, so to save some space, I stuck one ontop of the other and I ended up with this monstrosity:




As the two frames are overlapped, all rotors can spin freely. Looks cluttered but this thing could run without any of the rotors crashing. Obviously the naza (or any FC that i know of) cant control a 12 rotored copter, especially not those with overlapping rotors, but it got me thinking about what the limit could be to the circular configuration.

Any thoughts? Looks like one of these may be retired soon as Simon has just bought an S800, so if that happens, shall I turn it into some monster 12 bladed copter?
