I went to see this guy when he was in "Ten years after" - have to say what an under rated musician he was, my memories of him are inspiring - he helped me move out of the box with my own efforts.
The only thing I would have loved to have had but never did was his Gibson 335 complete with Khaler trem - never seen it done before or since!
My memory of him will stay with me forever!

Sad to see another talented name go  :cry

My Uncle has 2 original Gibson Sunburst 335s with Kluson heads (one of which he bought from a pop legend  ;)) ...he says they are difficult to keep in tune and although I don';t play I can see they are beautiful things and they sound amazing ...

He tells a story of going to London age 19 to buy a guitar with £100 in his pocket and a £5 reserve - he was offered his Gibson Sunburst for the £100 and he agreed to buy it .. but, before he left, the shop owner brought out a Gibson Blonde which he offered him for £105 ... not wanting to lose his £5 reserve ';in case he needed it'; he declined .... now a Blonde is worth twice what a Sunburst is worth as it was a limited edition.... the things you wish you';d known  :azn

We went for a walk in St Ives recently and in a little curio shop chock full of all kinds of stuff we were astonished to see the guitar pictured below .... apparently it';s a re-issue as it has Shaller heads  Interesting though ...
David :)
