Took my quad up to Elvington where we were lauching rockets for a school competition.
In between flights I was flying the quad. All going well and had at least 5 flights. Just before we went I decided to have one last blast. As I was flying a military chopper came above the
Tree line and hovered there for about 30 seconds.  My quad was at about 100 feet high when it suddenly went totally out if control. Flipping and spinning all over the place till it crashed. The chopper then turned and flew off. Ripped two arms off and ripped wires out of motors. Snapped off gps mast ans full of mud. Coincidence or not????

May be coincidence -  maybe the helicopter had on board a powerful radar transmitter for it';s own purposes.

Fliers should be aware that  electronic gear can be affected by radar transmissions,  model radios including 2.4Ghz can be "shot down"  by radar ( ground types particularly ) even from some distance away (unusual,  but this is probably due to the particular type of radar in use and it';s frequency).
Equally powerful radio transmissions can also cause problems.

Damn bad luck tho';
Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.

I bet they thought you was spying on them with a drone  :azn  ~~
