I wonder if the VTX antenna fell off mid flight? as it doesn';t seem to have one and could explain the crash?

That looks like a Luminier QAV 250, certainly looks like it survived flying into a house.

I believe the police have to hold it for 6 month and then the person who handed it in can claim it.

Its actually 28 days minimum, if you hand in and no one has claimed it in that time, then the item legally becomes yours.

Even if reported to the police, you can in fact keep the item yourself, but under the agreement that "IF" the owners come forward you will hand it over.

What it was AFAICS was an overpriced frame with potentially damaged cheap EMax motors, but before I put it down to EBay Madness, what did I miss??

In another interest miles from Multi';s, EBay buyers consistently amaze with their out and out stupidity, paying in some cases considerably MORE than easily available and widely advertised new (even with original P&P, etc added) for something absolutely identical spec that is currently in stock and of course has a warranty and decent return/repair path.

I watch items just to have a laugh..............   

Even in this sphere';s stupidity, there is an upper limit though, one seller has listings of stuff that have not sold for more than a year, are always relisted at the same ridiculously high price, again fail to sell, and yet they do not drop. They are second hand items, some genuinely unusual, if not that most abused EBay word, "rare"!

If he';s waiting for the world to catch up, he';ll be dead long before he gets a sale.  ::)

If I ever have a faulty quad I want to shift I think I';ll just snap the props, scuff it up a bit and sell it as one that flew into my house.
