Hi,

You';ve probably seen that DJI launched a new product - the Osmo:
I';ve been getting more into video, and I was exactly looking for some handheld stabilizers, but I was also thinking of upgrading from the DYS 3 axis gimbal on my 680 Pro.
Do you think a mount could be made or 3D printed to fit this to a multirotor?!
Could be very cool!

! No longer available

It does look good, and the fact the camera can just clip from inspire to Osmo and back is cool.
I think the have priced this well, not as broad use as the ronin, but very portable, have to say I';m quite tempted. Will wait to see how the x5r fits to it with its external hard drive first though

Looks expensive.. and no naked OSMO for Inspire camera yet.. so its ****** off a lot of Inspire owners.. typical DJI marketing ploy....

You can get handheld gimbals for GoPros a lot cheaper..

I thought $500 was an alright price if it fits the inspire camera. I just watched and read again, just says compatible with, I see what you mean now about no naked device - I imagine that would be a lot cheaper just for the gimbal, if the camera is already owned from an inspire

Edit: Just noticed it was £500 not $s, not quite so good value.
GoPro gimbals just brief searching on google are around the £150 mark, add the £280 for the hero4black that setup is in the same sort of area as the osmo

The.Quadfather

yeah, looks nice, but pricey
considering that this was available for ~£75 for a brief period not that long ago here

garyb

I got one of these last week but been backshift so havent really had the chance to use it.

I got it brand new from a seller on ebay for £395.
