So I';ve just found out I need to add a separate receiver battery as the power from my crius isn';t sufficient to power my gimbal servos.  Has anybody got any recommendations for the best one to go for.  Obviously small, light and reliable.  Is LIPO preferable for this application? Obviously will need some sort of regulator if a LIPO is used I would think?

You would probably be better using Sanyo eneloops, you can get a fairly light pack, something like what I';ve got in one of my Slope soarers - they are very good and with mine powering 2x 9gm servos + the rx they don';t need charging every time you go out.
I steered away from a lipo because as you say it needs to be regulated plus power drop off with a lipo is much faster. If you must go down that route LiFe is better.

Thanks mate. Will take a look at them.
