Revs

A trusty DX8, though I think she needs a good clean out as a couple of the pots have started to get a bit wondery. Anyone know if it';s safe to spray a bit on contact cleaner in the pots?

I use a DX3R for my surface stuff.

Friskle

DX6 and mostly a Hitec Aurora 9, well built radio, and never an issue.

jar

Turnigy 9x with djt module and backlight mod. Cant wait for the new smartieparts board to be released!

atomiclama

Cheap second hand Futaba t6exa with the guts pulled out and a frsky diy module installed.
Wasdale X, Ow that hurt

gb0wers

Taranis plus. Migrated from non-telemetry 2.4 GHz Multiplex.

Yorrite

Another vote for Aurora 9

Easy to use touch screen interface
Easy to change switches/channels around
TELEMETRY for battery voltage alarm standard in all receivers
Receivers have remote (replaceable) aerials
Can fit LiPo TX battery no problem
Easy to fit HiTec GPS telemetry to track/find model';s location

Everything you could want from a transmitter system?
Gravity will prevail.

Ynot6

DX6i and DX7s. got the 7s for the three way switch. both fool good and solid.
440 Y6 with vector, F330 quad with naza, hammer 240 with flip32, and watch this space.

tupoar

I';m using my trusty old Futaba FF9 that I bought new 11 years ago and its still going strong now, I keep looking at new tx';s but just cant find anything better for me

NorcoT

Dx6i for me but perhaps not much longer. Only bought it new 14 months ago and the throttle pot has given up the ghost.. its currently awaiting postage to spektrum service center wgere i hope they will tell me they can repair it for free.

Taranis. Without doubt the most versatile TX I have owned over the years.

Just using a cheap FlySky i6. As my first modern tx (had old 27Mhz many years ago) I am impressed with it so far. Not really pushed it yet as only had 3 flying sessions with my 250. Like the fact it has signal error % on screen and it can display quad battery voltage with a small £4 module.
Plus runs for hrs on decent Eneloop type AA batteries. So easy to carry spares.

Only problem is getting a monitor mounting bracket as it has a plastic carry handle but for £50 ish (£35 from BangGood) I am very happy.
I try :-)

quadfather

Another Taranis user, and very happy with this choice. ~~

Another Taranis user, use it for everything from cheap planks and fpv quads through to 700 sized helis.

set up my first plane/glider the other day on my taranis. calling it a doddle would be unfair on other less doddley doddles.

should add that user error saw me having the rudder going the wrong way. made for an interesting first flight until i realised you can turn these without a rudder. first plane ive set up and flown though so just having it fly was good.

it just makes sense

I often describe the taranis setup as like being given 5,000 pieces of lego and being told to make a racing car v.s. getting given a 15 piece set with instructions :)

As in the Taranis is the 15 pieces with instructions or the other?

Another FlySky i6 here.
Bought it with my 250 kit from RadioC, and so impressed with it, I have converted my Blade 400 and my boat to FlySky Rx.....can';t fault it.
re-born aviator. after many years in the dark, coming forward into the light.....and finding it difficult to keep up.

NorcoT

Just sent my dx6i off to spektrum for repair.. popped into my local hobby shop today and ended up buying the dx7s for £120. The quality feels so much better than the dx6i.

They are a great little TX, I';ve got the Turnigy version. I got it as a ';Throw in the car with cheap foamy planes'; TX, so impressed with it I';m using it for some of my other more expensive models now!

I have the original Smartieparts & telemetrez boards in my 9x and this does look tasty. Could give my 9x a whole new lease of life :)

Jimmer

Turnigy 9X, modded up and flashed with ER9X was my main TX until a few weeks ago, when I bought a Taranis X9D plus. I have modded the Taranis with a removable 5db antenna.

Fletch

Taranis, which got left outside in the rain for a few days, still works but i would have no real confidence in it

So now i have a taranis plus, which has had the S1 pot changed to a 6 position switch for the pixhawk, and after i knocked the stock antenna and broke the hinge, i fitted a removeable 5dBi Antenna.
