CC3D Bluetooth adaptor / Android App - Opinions?

Thanks to this forum I was recently introduced to MakeItBuildIt.co.uk and came across this rather intriguing item, the Bluetooth adaptor for MultiWii, Naze32 and the CC3D: http://makeitbuildit.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=31&product_id=146

This intrigues me for a couple of reasons. Firstly it';s potential for in-field config changes, and also for flight tracking.

Does anybody have any experience with this and compatible apps? What';s your opinions?

work great on multiwii/nase32 , i';d actually say there essential for pid tunning /gps settup and fault finding.

app is :-
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ezio.multiwii&hl=en_GB

and pay for the unlocker especially if you have gps fitted

Range isn';t massive but fine for setting things up  and in the air its at least 30m , if you modified the Ariel so its a 1/4 wave bit of straight wire instead of the wiggly pcb one it supposedly improves it alot , 200m+

I use one with Naze32 and Cleanflight using the paid version of EZ-GUI ground station, work really well and it nice to not need a laptop to mess about with settings. I';ve used one with with CC3D and the Openpilot software which works as expected, not used it with an app yet though (will be doing later this week).

Same, this will save me having to take apart the minitri to reach the USB adaptor everytime I want to make an adjustment.

All devices using the bluetooth protocol have a range between 10m > 50m (through 50m is very rare!).

It';s great for getting into a head-hight hover and tweaking your PID';s (oh-er missuz!) on the OP GCS but I';ve never used it in conjunction with the android app, I thought it wasn';t full developed!?!, can you please let me know how you get on with it.
Cheers fella

I';ll definitely report back with how I find it.
There seems to be a couple of apps so I';ll try each of them out and see how I get on.

Whilst we are all here, are there any lightweight and cheap solutions for recording flight data to be mapped as a 3D track afterwards?

Have a look at this:

Pretty neat! I might have to investigate the android app, I didn';t even think it was OP authorised!?

As far as mapping flight data with a CC3D you are gunna have to start with a OPlink and a GPS, a Revo contains an embedded OPlink but you';d still need a GPS.

Great find with the video. Really looking forward to this arriving!
