Been back to a place I was using for flying over a year ago this morning.  After talking to the farmer last night I got up today and thought time to brake the strimmer out.  So got to the field at 7.30 and started cutting.

Uncut for over a year


After 2 hours





Even started to cut a track in for my rc cars.  Could do with a lawn mower lol
It will be good to have a place to test my fpv gear out with no people around

That looks like a very nice place to fly is it as secluded as it looks, do you have sole use for your self if so your very lucky, even if there is a fair bit of work to clear a good sized patch

Yeah I have the whole place to myself.  Lots of work still to do, but I do enjoy a good bit of strimming lol.  Its on the side of a hill in the middle of no where (only about 6 miles from home).  The ground is not over level but I can live with that. 

Should be great for some fpv flying as I can just go to the top of the hill.  Still need to cut an area up there for taking off and landing.  Its hard work on your own but never mind

It will be well worth the effort though when  you have done, you could start a multi rotor flying club  well if the farmer would permit it

I used to have a caravan at skegness back in my plane flying days and joined the skegness model flying club, now the weird thing is I used to go to the field which was in the middle of no where and always full of sheep but there was never any other flyers there, the runway and pits area were always well mown, just never saw another flyer, and it was fun fora start but in the end I got a little bit bored of being on my own there as, I had always been a part of a busy club and missed the company of others while there,
It looks like a great place to fly but may take a fair bit of work to maintain and might be better if you have a few mates you could involve

I'be tried in the past to get mates interested in flying and non are up for it.  So its just little old me that flies up at this site.  Not as much fun as flying with others, but........ The farm will not mind a few others flying there as long as I am with them

I am sure that if anyone wants to pay a visit up this way some day the farmer would be fine about it.
