  • Reman: Got stuck in traffic yesterday. After an hour I started using my phone (And an OTG cable) to look through the media files on a keyring of my old USB sticks. Found one that had the entire run of "Firefly" on it. I got through 3 episodes before the traffic started moving again....... God, That really was an amazing show.

  • mo_miah: Gav- if its a camera ship then TBS crossfire is definitely what you need, the FrSky has limited channels and telemetry options, TBS crossfire has much better features and more channels to control camera gimbals etc

    September 06, 2018, 20:00:44
  • hoverfly: I coated a couple of Slipstreams  a few years ago  It stiffened up the wing nicely .On the down side although it prevented dings when i had an high speed"arrival" it left the resin cracked. and the glass lifted slightly.  Well stuck laminate stiffens the wing and is flexible..
    September 06, 2018, 18:26:13
  • DarkButterfly: I'm doing laminate, just put my order in for some, also got some balsa wood for the side parts, had to use a kitchen knife to seperate the foam from the busted wood
    September 05, 2018, 13:21:11
  • atomiclama: Thanks, can't decide on fibre glass or laminate. Like the idea of fibre for some reason, don't know why.

    September 05, 2018, 09:30:22

Make your own. Get some arms.

http://www.banggood.com/Carbon-Fiber-Arm-For-250mm-FPV-Quadcopter-Replacement-QAV250-ZMR250-p-947008.html

Make centre plate out of whatever is lying around, bit of ply, plastic.

Done.
I could but I want somthing light and strong so I don';t have to come home after every crash
thease cheepo frames are good for a fiver

4 arms are nearly 16 quid and you still have all the hassle

My 4 in 1 esc';s turned up today......... and 4 boxes of 10 "Unbreakable" 5.0x5.0 3 blade props, 3x pdb';s,  a nice variate of different lenght frame stand offs, and a metric shed load of those little universal neoprene quad undercarriage feet things.
I need a pay rise........ Though I'd settle for a reduction in the amount of hours I need to work to get the same money.

Two cans of Plasti-Dip to spray my Inductrix frames, Blaze Orange and Blaze Yellow (what we call flourescents). Claimed to adhere to the flexible plastic used.  Have already done a new still in pack spare frame Orange.......  looks OK  ...........will swap the parts over and then clean the grass stains off the most used one and if the orange stays on OK I will paint that Yellow for the other one

The LEDS on the frame help to locate when wishes exceed skills but when they disappear into the greenery in bright light, it';s a lot more of an issue to locate.  (They are a bit small for a recovery buzzer and my wife won';t get up at 05:00 to "spot", damn inconsiderate I call it................!!  )

Should have went for their colour flip or glow in the dark range as they would look even better on an Inductrix than the fluro stuff :)

Sadly I can';t buy the spray version as they won';t ship them to Belfast (and it';s almost 20 quid per can buying from Dublin)

Their tinned stuff is fantastic too
