  • Reman: Got stuck in traffic yesterday. After an hour I started using my phone (And an OTG cable) to look through the media files on a keyring of my old USB sticks. Found one that had the entire run of "Firefly" on it. I got through 3 episodes before the traffic started moving again....... God, That really was an amazing show.

  • mo_miah: Gav- if its a camera ship then TBS crossfire is definitely what you need, the FrSky has limited channels and telemetry options, TBS crossfire has much better features and more channels to control camera gimbals etc

  • hoverfly: I coated a couple of Slipstreams  a few years ago  It stiffened up the wing nicely .On the down side although it prevented dings when i had an high speed"arrival" it left the resin cracked. and the glass lifted slightly.  Well stuck laminate stiffens the wing and is flexible..
    September 06, 2018, 18:26:13
  • DarkButterfly: I'm doing laminate, just put my order in for some, also got some balsa wood for the side parts, had to use a kitchen knife to seperate the foam from the busted wood

  • atomiclama: Thanks, can't decide on fibre glass or laminate. Like the idea of fibre for some reason, don't know why.

That';s the awesome thing about our hobby; I can charge every battery there for 20p  ::)

:o  :o  :o  Shite that';s a lot of Lipos !

I know right. But I can go through 20-30 in a good session. I usually go out with 20 ish and end up recharging some in the field.

This charger is feckin awesome btw. I can charge 24 batteries from storage in 20 mins! 30A discharge when connected to the lipo power supply.

Just to be nosey, what charger is it? i need a new one, so i can charge more than one battery at a time.

It';s an iCharger 308 Duo. I was expecting it to be good but it has really impressed me. Highly recommended  ~~

Had a test today and very impressed so far. At cruise speed good flight times , when punching the throttle loads of power.
The price is reasonable I thought at 13.90 each.

Hi where did you get the batteries from?

Postie brought me a new Pathfinder 2 hex, so I can practice hexes as well as quads, but I expected him to come tomorrow, so wasn';t in......  :cry

Hopefully he';ll have dropped it off at the nearest post office, so I can pick it up on my way home and then bunk off work tomorrow to fly it!

Haven';t even charged mine yet, let alone built the quad they need to go on  :banghead:.

Will be interested to hear your opinions! (I';m sure you said that a few days ago!)

They';re good buddy. Similar to the Turnigy graphene';s, but a lot lighter. I think the Turnigy graphene';s just have the edge in regards power though. I had a collision with my mates plane, his prop caught the lipo and it went up in smoke while I was 100ft up. Managed to land and get it off the quad before damage was done but it was pretty epic  It burned hard for a good few minutes! Video incoming..

A stupidly small Quanum Elite CMOS camera & 5.8Gig TX, some Turnigy Graphine LiPos (1000mAh) and some Gemfan 4x4.5 props.

Cheap Aomway 5.8 antennas arrived yesterday.

Now I just have to find something suitable to mount the CMOS camera onto so it';s big enough to mount onto the Morphite

Just got out of surgery so no pics today, but postie brought a simulator cable for my tgy-i6 tx, a bag of 3s balance cables, a pipette for high speed bearing grease, and some tarox high speed bearing grease. Looking forward to trying out the simulator cable. Anyone recommend a good - preferably free - simulator for Mac (or pc if there are no good mac ones)?

I use Heli-X6 on my MacBook Pro i5 retina and it gives me over 60fps and about 50 aircraft!! Helis and multis. You get a couple of helis and a quad with the free version, but it';s worth paying for the full version.

If you know anyone brave enough to let someone capture some drone footage of them in flight i';m not a million miles away from you and it';d be quality stuff to add to my reel... :)
