  • Reman: Got stuck in traffic yesterday. After an hour I started using my phone (And an OTG cable) to look through the media files on a keyring of my old USB sticks. Found one that had the entire run of "Firefly" on it. I got through 3 episodes before the traffic started moving again....... God, That really was an amazing show.

  • mo_miah: Gav- if its a camera ship then TBS crossfire is definitely what you need, the FrSky has limited channels and telemetry options, TBS crossfire has much better features and more channels to control camera gimbals etc

  • hoverfly: I coated a couple of Slipstreams  a few years ago  It stiffened up the wing nicely .On the down side although it prevented dings when i had an high speed"arrival" it left the resin cracked. and the glass lifted slightly.  Well stuck laminate stiffens the wing and is flexible..

  • DarkButterfly: I'm doing laminate, just put my order in for some, also got some balsa wood for the side parts, had to use a kitchen knife to seperate the foam from the busted wood

So you went for it! Nice, let me know how you get on please, particularly how much current and on what props, cheers dude

For reference, my 2206-2300';s draw 21-22A with the T5045 tri v2 props and 30A on HQ6045.
Lol of course I went for it, as nub said, I have a problem :)

Will be using hq5040 gr and cr triblades and dal t5045 triblades, based on below am expecting about 30 amps at full throttle with between 1300-1400g of thrust per motor depending on the prop ("down" might also be a problem)

http://www.xnovamotors.com/xnova-rm2206-2500kv-specifications/

Will be using aikon 30a semf blheli_s ESCs (on advanced order) but don';t have current monitoring, Sri mate

Replacement Mobius wide angle lens camera. (latest version)

Original is out in our field somewhere in the long grass, complete with Mobius clip tray, strap, Nighthawk carbon anti-vibration mount plate and three of the four rubber doughnuts, and yes it was security cable tied through the plate corners and doughnut centres to the main frame.

It had a video blackout while FPV low level and it didn';t come back, so with an oak tree a short distance ahead, I did not dare get altitude in the hope of signal restoration so chose to cut throttle and hope. The lost model buzzer located it straight away and the quad was found upside down balanced up on the long tangled grass (field hay), one broken prop, grass stalks wrapped round motor shaft, but the Camera and mount were missing and could not be found. Even took a grass rake up the following morning to try to sift the immediate area and where it might have been thrown (though it had to shear four cable ties to do it!!).

Video has worked well since, so don';t know why it blanked out.

Camera had a 32Gb card in, too...............and some good video of screaming turns through hoop flying.....  :cry

What are the benefits of tri or quad blades over dual blade props?
Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

more air grip, the quad will corner better/sharper with less drift/slip.
Point and click.

Hideously and I';ve not even flown with them yet. So thin they deflect on idle! I **** you not. You can actually bend them 180* and they just spring back.

Ha, I won';t try the quad blades then!

Loving the t5045 at the mo though. I';ve had the same set on the acro quad for a while now and they';re still going. I don';t know why I ignored the DAL props for so long, could';ve saved myself a small fortune  :cry

Yeah the T5045V2 are my fave prop. Was using the HQ5x4x3 but the DAL';s are cheaper, stronger and fly just as well.

Oh, and this small but very useful upgrade for the Phantom.  Now all I need is more batteries so the flight time can match the recording time.  Them batteries are DEAR though.

Liking that Inspire 1 Paul.  Who you gonna get to control the camera - I guess that';s what the second TX is for?

After a bit of a to-do with Gearbest I finally received the 250 Racer and FPV kit I ordered.  It';s a Walkera Runner 250 Upgraded version with the Walkera Goggle2 headset.  I originally ordered it from the EU warehouse during one of their lightning deal events, but after a couple of weeks of me emailing the about delivery they told me they had sold out.  So they sent it from China, which cost me a fair few pennies in Import duties, but it was still a very good deal and it looks cool.  Looking forward to getting to grips with FPV.  Or at least trying to!   :crossfingers:

It is yeah, it can either be independently controlled in everyday by the second controller+tablet, or you can still control it using one, it just gives creative options ;)
