Postie brought lots of stuff, new motor for volantex phoenix, a 40amp esc and more important an eashine blackwing 680........but central spar and motor mount missing from kit !

that wing does look good, im after a wing but most of them at 900mm+

Smaller wings are harder to fly and to a greater extent affected by the wind leading to the " piza box" effect.
Although bigger than you are  looking for  the Flyingwings  new race wing is a winner,  I have had mine for a few months now and  it just gets better each flight. It's made from very dense foam and when laminated is super tough.
Well worth a look.  It's brilliant value.

I am tempted with one of those myself, what are the control rods like, are they those horrid ones where you have to superglue and heat shrink the Z bends on the ends?

The control rods are  an adjustable metal clevis at one end and a z-bend at the other. I  prefer to have a ball joint  just because i can instead of the z-bend.
The other thing i like about this wing is launching it is easy... .  I have really struggled to side arm/ discus  launch other wings to the point when i just glued a small piece of foam underneath them to chuck them.
This one is easy 3/4 throttle and lob it at 45 degrees and away it goes. The handling  is superb it tracks so well and rolls  no problem , has a very locked in feel.

Yesterday I received a couple of FC's.

My favorite F3's were out of stock so needed an alternative option. I've tried a few F4's on 5" quads a while ago but found that on some frames I was constantly trying to sort vibration related issues, So I decided to grab a couple F7 Omnibus boards from BangGood to have a play with.

I haven't fitted them to anything yet, But they look reasonably well made and flashed to the latest Betaflight without any drama. They've got a fair few UARTS available, But there's only 4 motor outputs.

I think one of them's going to end up being used in the rebuild of my Q250 DVR quad (When it gets its turn in the build cue) as that ones still on a NAZE32. :)

Yupp the only thing it shares with the Raven is a bit of it's name and the wing angle.(sweep).. It  is however a twin of the the race spec  without the fpv cutouts suggested in the destruction book.
Already glued the wing halves together.. Usual quality cutting and i just love the foam density, it nearly matches my own. ::)

Quick question, so you take of in 2D, gain some height, flick guardian to OFF, then a few seconds later flick back to 2D, does the plane just right itself as normal?, i have not tried it turned of yet

Finally decided to upgrade my old FPV screen, So out with the budget 7" single VRX unit, And in with an equally budget orientated 7" screen, but now with diversity and DVR built in !
