Charging with my IMAX B6

After the various woes with the standard Hubsan charger, I thought I';d have a crack at charging my Hubsan batteries with my IMAX B6. Lovely charger, works great with my big 5000mAh.

So, I chopped the cable on the little USB charger and found a red wire and a white wire. You';d probably have thought the red wire would be +ve. HAha, no, red = -ve, white = +ve  :hmm:

I put some connectors on so that I can plug into my charger and then reconnect to the USB charger to give me options. And yay, the battery charges very nicely on the B6..... well, I say nicely, my battery is knackered and only holds a few seconds charge so I';m going to need to get some more before I can fly in anger again.

But yeah, success, I think.  ~~

Any recommendations for GOOD QUALITY 380 and 500mAh Hubsan batteries? last lot from BG puffed on 1st charge and I';m seeing loads of bad and mixed reviews from Amazon.

I bought these from Amazon UK a few months ago.  I reckon they have had about 50 charge cycles now and are still working okay

Looks good, but still a handful of people complaining of early puffing and losing charge. I wonder maybe if they';re just not charging them properly?

I use a B6 and a split lead to charge 5 at a time and haven';t had any problems so far.  I didn';t trust the little USB charge lead nor did I want to just have a splitter.  If I do have any issues, I';ll let you know.

Yep same here. Although I do balance charge them. I have a five and 3 split. No issues here. And they';re all done in about 40/50 mins.

You can charge your hubsan battery';s from the b6 with one of the Leeds provided you get a two pin leed all you have to do is pull the plastic cover of the top to expose the two pins then just punch them in to your battery ...
Making sure red goes to red and black to black works for me

I';d say so, too high a charge current, charging while the battery is warm, deep discharging the battery in flight perhaps.  All the usual LiPo stuff ...
