Maidened a new wing this weekend made out of depron.

Now I know it flies I need to complete the build more professionally I guess would be the word.  For the maiden I used a 2700mah battery, that was the smallest I could use in order to balance it out!  I may shift the motor forward a bit so I can move the battery back to make room for a fpv cam and mobius.  I flew it today with a 3700 and it still flew easily so plenty of capacity for weight.  All that considering I';ve under propped the motor at the moment to allow for the fact it only has an 18amp esc on there. (The only other spare I have is a 50amp).

I also want to cover the wing in tape and add an autopilot, this may be a mini apm if it ever turns up.  I think the only negative point so far is it seems rather twitchy in the wind, probably due to a large wing area with relatively low weight?

I can only see one propeller on it, me confused

On a serious note, it looks like she flies beautifully, bet you';re chuffed with it.  I can see how the wind could really catch those large wings.

Well for my next build I';d like to try a twin but I guess you';d argue I';m still 2 short

I couldn';t really of asked for a better maiden.  It really does fly amazingly well considering I wasn';t sure if I';d got the measurements correct and cog in the right place :)

She now has a Vector installed

Got to love the Vector, so easy to install and setup. First flight was flawless and no issues at all!

Really enjoyed flying here, I started flying here when I first got into quads and it felt like a big location, felt rather small in the wing :)

Will definitely go back though, see if I can get lower coming back over the hill

Nice, looks like you';ve got it pretty well sorted!  Wings ain';t the easiest to get right,  the cog is so critical - does using the Vector make it less critical?
I have yet to try using an fc on a plane, I';ve used a 3axis gyro to good effect so perhaps I should try something more sophisticated.

I got it pretty sorted before the Vector went on there. The Vector does help when doing the low stuff though, I flew all that in 3D mode which seemed to keep it pretty locked it.

Still bounced around a bit, not sure if it';s possible to get rid of that or not. The wind was low but still there so I think that was mainly to blame

Pretty good for flying in formation as well  ::)
