sandpaper, pussies!

nice frame but its not worth £100+ like most of the premium frames, fs its a couple of bits of carbon and some plastic  fair enough there been a bit of development put into it but...
Point and click.

things are worth what you';re willing to pay for them i think. I';d be willing to pay a right nut at the moment to get an alien in 4 and 5 inch configs. if they wont take nuts about £90 for the 4 and £110 for the 5 i think. could stretch a bit further i guess   :hmm:

nub

they are taking left nuts! hehe

na it is a very nice frame, and people will be willing to pay top dollar for it, just because, gawd if i had the spare cash i probably take one too

cheaper than a blackout and about the same as a minion. piece of art though arent they? still at preorder stage so gosh knows when they';ll be UK side.

I';m glad I was way off the mark predicting the price...

4" for £84.31
5" for £97.39
6" for £103.92

It looks like they';re selling components for decent prices as well. The new 20A Littlebee ESC';s for £7.84 is awesome. I';m not surprised they sold out so quick. I had 8 in my basket, and by the time I got to the checkout there was only 3 left.

As mentioned in another post, the TornadoFC looks really attractive for everyone';s budget. I think the SPRacingF3 controller has some worrying to do at £45 quid.

The frames are listed as ';In Stock'; on their website so should be ready to ship.

annikk.exe

Ordered mine. :D
Also ordered one of those FPV cameras, since they fit so nicely in this frame..

Snap - I ordered the same :)

Should arrive just in time for winter :(

bazzerh

in my haste i didnt order the LED ring for the 5in but i';ve just had an email from sean saying i can add to the order. it doesnt fit the 4in version unfortunately. might add some little bee escs as well if theyre coming back i stock in time. maybe a tornado as well. dont tell the missus!  :wack0 :wack0

It looks nice, but the frame seems massively overhyped just because finalglide won with it (let';s face it, he';d win with any other quad he setup).

The FPV camera mount is lovely, no real room for a GoPro, though I guess you could consider this frame race spec only.

The X design is nice, but I';m still not overly joyous about it?
ZMR250 x 2, Quanum 250, Kermit 170mm.

seantaylor

I didn';t bother with the lights, I';ll never see them in my goggles :)

Oh and I ordered a tornado as well, and 2 of those cameras :)

Gonna have a busy time building for the next few months, just waiting on my warpquad to arrive this week

Elmattbo

Hmmm tempting. Learnt so much since building my first quad I';d be happy to go to town on this but got some major house renovations happening so I need to be a little careful with the cash. Does that antenna cluster at the rear not look a little exposed? I';d destroy that in a heartbeat!

Nah, if you somehow manage to land on your back (unlikely), those antennas will just squash underneath it and lie flat. :>  They are quite flexible.

CHOO CHOO!!! All aboard the hype train!

MetallDanny received his Alien frame yesterday...

Frames for all and sundry are due to ship on Tuesday next week, notwithstanding any delays.

My powertrain is prepared, and today I ordered Props, Lipos, FC, RX, VTX and an antenna..
I';m going to run 6045 Bullnose.. I';m hoping for 6kg of thrust. :>

I plan to produce my own frames. I just need to find the time to finalize prototypes and test them.

Never thought to put the camera up there. Might have to redo my little X to match.
Wasdale X, Ow that hurt

I';m willing to test ... And I crash lots so I';ll really test the durability

It does look awesome, I';ll have to get better at fast forward flight to justify it

Haha. I love my little hex though. Can';t hurt to have another spare.
Always something new and whiney to buy, it';s this or a fossil stuff, or maybe I';ll wait till they make a gravity hex

try telling that to all the antenna tubes i snapped last winter. gave up using the little d4r mounts with angled tube placements. dont see anyone else using them much anymore either. i';ll just do my antennae the usual way with cable ties and shrink tube off an upright.

Very nice. Kind of expect this sort of design is where racing quads are going. The Warpquad 230 had a prototype camera mount like this, but I don';t think it';s available to buy.
