Just had to clean a load of dust from my fatshark LCDs, why can't they be properly sealed to stop the ingress of dust and pollen. :/

A replacement servo for HXT900 or SG90

I think the day of the popular HXT900 is limited.
I have used many over the years and stripped gears and had the practically non existant servo output spline slip around.
They are a great size and provide enough power for small to medium size models for aileron and flaps etc.
However, I wanted something better.
Criteria was that the servo would fit where the HXT had been, it should have metal gears and more power if possible. It must be analog.
The servo I found has all the above, plus it is a fraction narrower and not as deep. There is no gear freeplay whatsoever and the price is great.
The servo is an EMAX ES08MA II 12g/ 2.0kg. EMAX is a great brand.
I have been using these for a few weeks now and am very happy with their performance. They also use a quality brand potentiometer.
Some advertise them as having bearings, but this is not the case. That would be expecting too much in a servo this size and is not necessary.
Anyway, have a look at the link and scroll down for the photos and specs.
They can be found in singles or lots of four as well if you search around.
They are also available with nylon gears and in digital form if you so wish.
Go have a look.. Link at bottom.
