Tbh I've been really busy, not had much time to fly anything and with conditions being crap, hopefully in the new year I'll have some new projects on the go, mostly to do with HAM radio, will certainly fly again soon. FTR I hate FB too   :D Merry Christmas

The ArduPilot Mega 2.0 is a complete open source autopilot system, with no assembly required. It allows the user to turn any fixed, rotary wing or multirotor vehicle (even cars and boats) into a fully autonomous vehicle; capable of performing programmed GPS missions with waypoints.

Features:
Arduino Compatible!
Comes pre-soldered (with straight pins) and tested.
Includes 1 x Dataflash.
Digital compass powered by Honeywell's HMC5883L-TR chip.
Optional On-board GPS, Mediatek MT3329 module.
One of the first open source autopilot systems to use Invensense's 6 DoF Accelerometer/Gyro MPU-6000.
Barometric pressure sensor upgraded to MS5611-01BA03, from Measurement Specialties.
Atmel's ATMEGA2560 and ATMEGA32U-2 chips for processing and usb functions respectively.

Yep, I'll do that, just can't get hold of Martin at DIY Drones for an ETA at the moment. I sort of expected it this week.

Bloomin hell they copied the APM now to  :rolleyes: I wonder if something will be done about it  :shrug: if I had the cash in the bank I would be ordering one of these, at that price they have to be worth a punt  ~~

If you read it, there is not mention that you get a gps with it....only that it is capable of using a gps.

Here is a talk given by Chris Anderson on Autonomous Quadcopter Drones;

http://fora.tv/2012/05/20/Wireds_Chris_Anderson_Autonomous_Quadcopter_Drones

He covers the apm2.5 and also their future plans with the 32 bit arduino that's coming out in a little while.

Just ordered the clone 2.5.... I currently have a Rabbit FC and Crius AIO Pro. with MegaPirateNG.. so hope it will be an easy transition...

Decided to go with the LEA-6 GPS which is much better that the CN-06..  although the v2 ones are much better..

Will let you know how I get on.. going to use it for my FPV build..
