The ArduPilot Mega 2.0 is a complete open source autopilot system, with no assembly required. It allows the user to turn any fixed, rotary wing or multirotor vehicle (even cars and boats) into a fully autonomous vehicle; capable of performing programmed GPS missions with waypoints. 

Features:
Arduino Compatible!
Comes pre-soldered (with straight pins) and tested.
Includes 1 x Dataflash.
Digital compass powered by Honeywell's HMC5883L-TR chip.
Optional On-board GPS, Mediatek MT3329 module.
One of the first open source autopilot systems to use Invensense's 6 DoF Accelerometer/Gyro MPU-6000.
Barometric pressure sensor upgraded to MS5611-01BA03, from Measurement Specialties.
Atmel's ATMEGA2560 and ATMEGA32U-2 chips for processing and usb functions respectively.

Bloomin hell they copied the APM now to  :rolleyes: I wonder if something will be done about it  :shrug: if I had the cash in the bank I would be ordering one of these, at that price they have to be worth a punt  ~~

If you read it, there is not mention that you get a gps with it....only that it is capable of using a gps.

He covers the apm2.5 and also their future plans with the 32 bit arduino that's coming out in a little while.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
 1 lobe short of an antenna.

Just order one of the rctimer cn-06 v2 gps modules with one and your good to go if I had the spare cash I would be getting one  ~~

Just ordered the clone 2.5.... I currently have a Rabbit FC and Crius AIO Pro. with MegaPirateNG.. so hope it will be an easy transition...

Decided to go with the LEA-6 GPS which is much better that the CN-06..  although the v2 ones are much better..

Will let you know how I get on.. going to use it for my FPV build..

Hi Jumpy07 and welcome to the forum I have been very tempted to order the rctimer APM2.5 but wasnt sure if it was any good, look forward to seeing your report on this board, please feel free to share any pictures or videos you have,
I also have a Rabbit and AIOP there are a few members here with the AIOP.
I have seen your posts over on RCG and Iam very pleased yu have found your way here  :bravo:  :welcome:

Also feel free to upload your AIOP manual to the AIOP section I have already made a wii version but didnt bother doing a megapirate one after I saw yours,
If you look at mine and think any of the pics would be usefull in yours send me a pm and I will send you any pics you might want the overall layout one is quite good  ~~
