Let's talk about something else :)

Previous topic - Next topic

XH558

With no disrespect intended to the owners and builders of the forum - or indeed the forum in general - I have to say that in all my years of belonging to forums this has got to be the most boring guys :rolleyes:

I';ve been aero-modelling since I was 8 and now I';m 60 so I think I can say it';s a bit of a passion in my life ... but I also have a life  ::)

The off topics section here is the most underused I';ve ever seen :waiting:...... in some forums I';ve belonged to no thread stays on topic long and usually descends into the daft /absurd /funny take your pick .... but here it seems to be multirotors all the way  :shrug:

There';s not even a joke thread .... every forum has a joke thread ..... so come on let';s talk about something else .....

Hell let';s even start with a couple of jokes .....

This is the story of the poor dizzy blonde flying as a passenger in a two-seater plane with just the pilot.

He suddenly has a heart attack and dies. She, frantic, calls out a May Day.

"May Day! May Day! Help me! Help me! My pilot had a heart attack and is dead and I don';t know how to fly. Help me! Please help me!"

She hears a voice over the radio saying:

"This is Air Traffic Control and I have you loud and clear. I will talk you through this and get you back on the ground.  I';ve had a lot of experience with this kind of problem. ';Now, just take a deep breath.  Everything will be fine! Now give me your height and position."

She says,  "I';m 5';4" and I';m in the front seat."

"O.K." says the voice on the radio....
"Repeat after me:   Our Father. . Who art in Heaven. . . ...."

.................................................................................................

Paddy & Murphy are working on a building site. Paddy says to Murphy I';m gonna have the day off, I';m gonna pretend I';m mad!';

He climbs up the rafters, hangs upside down & shouts ';I';M A LIGHT BULB!... I';M A LIGHT BULB!';

Murphy watches in amazement!

The Foreman shouts ';Paddy you';re mad, go home'; So he leaves the site.

Murphy starts packing his kit up to leave as well.

';Where the hell are you going?'; asks the Foreman.

';I can';t work in the friggin dark! Says Murphy.

..............................................................................................

OR ... If not jokes then ........

What';s your favourite film of all time? ..... mine is ';The Shawshank Redemption';

OR ......what would be your dream car if you had any budget? .... I';d surprise you ... mine would be a fully restored rag top Morris 1000 ... seriously  :smiley:

Any takers for some off topic conversation ........

Come on ..... you know you want to  :whistling:

If money was no object then I would have to say three cars firstly a new Range rover sport, gas guzzler I know but hey its a nice motor.

Second car would have to be an original cooper s works mk1 mini I used to rebuild mini';s with 1460 all steel crank and conrods roller rockers cozzy pistons blah blah blah.

Ok having owned an original mk1 Mexico and regret the day I sold it but if I had a choice to own another one or a mk1 RS2000 then it would be the RS all day long.
If someone throw's a stone at you throw a flower at them just remember to throw the pot with it.

She was standing in the kitchen preparing the usual soft boiled eggs and toast wearing the tshirt she had slept in as her husband walked into the kitchen she turned and said softly "you';ve got to make love to me this very moment "
He';s eyes lit up thinking he was either dreaming or it was he';s lucky day , he bent her over and gave it he';s all right there on the table
Afterwards she said thanks and returned to the stove her tshirt still around her neck
Happy but a little puzzled he asked "what was that all about?" she explained
" the egg timers broken

Hi XH558, did you catch my 100th post - that website is chocker block with humour.
Anyway I don';t seem to have seen anything much about Magic smoke, Lift fairies and Thrust pixies on here - I think they are the most important things to remember about.
Magic smoke must be kept contained in ALL electrical/electronic devices at all costs to make sure they work properly if it acidentally gets let out they don';t work anymore.
Lift fairies and thrust pixies have to learn new skills on rotary wing that';s why when you start things tend to go pear shaped a lot! If you think about it the Lift fairies are used to living on wings which don';t go round so when the have to live on a heli or multi copter it';s a bit traumatic for them; this explains the recommended time we need to take learning to hover. Also the thrust pixies are not used to going up vertical and landing vertical, plus on helis they';re not used to keep going round at the same speed and calling on the lift faries to do extra work, sometimes they squabble about it and we all know what happens then!
Hope this has helped some of the newbies understand how things work.
:rofl:  :rofl:  :rofl:

Now we';re cookin';

That';s more like it .......

...

Old people have problems that you haven';t even considered yet!

An 85-year-old man was requested by his doctor for a sperm count as part of
his physical exam.  The doctor gave the man a jar and said, ';Take this jar home and bring back a semen sample tomorrow.';

The next day the 85-year-old man reappeared at the doctor';s office and gave him the jar, which was as clean and empty as on the previous day.  The doctor asked what happened and the man explained, ';Well, doc, it';s like this - first I tried with my right hand, but nothing. Then I tried with my left hand, but still nothing.

Then I asked my wife for help. She tried with her right hand, then with her left, still nothing.. She tried with her mouth, first with the teeth in, then with her teeth out, still nothing.  We even called up Arleen, the lady next door and she tried too, first with both hands, then an armpit, and she even tried squeezin'; it between her knees, but still nothing.'

The doctor was shocked wondering what sort of free and easy neighbourhood this old guy hailed from! ';You asked your neighbour?';

The old man replied, ';Yep, none of us could get the friggin jar open.';

Wow! Love those little cars! Westfields or Super 7 or something like that. I used to live in Stourbridge and there was a factory there making them! I was always envious of the people driving them in the summer! Not so envious in winter! LOL. Hope your bus trip to work was okay. LOL. Did you take your pensioners pass! LOL

Micky, you got an idea in your head how you want it to turn out colour etc?

mickyt

Yeah candy apple lime green is the colour I want, going for the old school look no indicators bare minimum wiring, rephased engine.
