What';s are most people go for? I know the lower Ghz the longer range but does that give more interference? Are more people going for 5.8ghz with CP antennas? As most people have 2.4ghz Tx.
Also what ';mw'; size are good to start with? 100mw? 200mw? 600mw? Ect.

Does anyone know any good low cost set up? (Tx, Rx and camera)

Flitetest recommends this for $70. Then change to a wider lense for an Extra $10. Any good?

Some of those Sony cameras come without a microphone  and some do not.  Hobbyking do not mention it in their "blurb"......check if you want one.
Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.

900mhz is not suitable for Europe.. it clashes with Mobile phones..

If you are running 2.4ghz for your tx then 5.8ghz makes sense..  anything over 25mw is illeagal.... that said.. a lot of people run higher powers with no problems.  Depends on the range you want.. for anything decent 400mw + is good. Its not just about power though.. the sensitivity of the RX makes a big difference.. as well as antennas

The Chineese 5.8ghz tx';s tend to run on illeagal frequencies, I would recommend sticking to decent kit such as ImmersionRC , Fatshark etc.. 5.740ghz channel is the channel least like to interfere with your 2.4Ghz tx..   ..

Camera wise..  a wide dynamic range camera is best...  and going from dark to light and vice versa with cheap cameras can blind the camera..  dont get caught up with some of the high resolutions.. 600tvl is a good res.. some OSD';s have issues with  high tvl';s..     Some cameras are 12v some 5v .. the ImmersionRC and Fatshark kit supply 5v for camera .. and also supply LC filters to keep noise away from the video

Cheers guys. That helps a lot. Do you know of any good combos on web sites to look at.

Have a look at these http://www.firstpersonview.co.uk/boxed-flight-kits/5.8ghz-complete-fpv-systems

Give them a call and see if they can put something together for you.. they are a helpful bunch..
