After flying my 450 Flamewheel clone and trying to land it in grass a bit rougher than I usually would I broke a couple of props. I think the skid setup from something like a 500 heli might work (just enough to avoid the denser grass); just wondered if anyone else had done this and if so what with?

Hello DarrellW

This is my 450 Flame Wheel with Trex 550 skids attached and it works great for me.

Also looks good - have to look see which is the easiest / cheapest to get my hands on, or take inspiration and make something myself........ :hmm:

I bought some hobbyking Trex600 pattern undercarriage a while back...think it was the grand total of about 3 quid.  You couldn';t make it cheaper than that yourself!
