Ground station

I am thinking about building up a ground station for my FPV system.  Has any one got any idea where to start?  I have looked round at a few bits and bods but would like other peoples thoughts.

Most of them tend to use a camera tripod to keep the rx up in the air, and build some sort of base station in to a flight case with a screen, although you prob wont need that if you eventually go for goggles, A lot of the people flying on 5.8g say the range isn't to good with the supplied antenna's and tend to change to the clover leaf type which is supposed to increase the range a lot

Defo will be getting some clover leaf antennas, its the next thing on my list

Dont know if these are any good, they say these are cloverleaf.

They look good its a clever idea to put a case around them to protect them because without they do look very easy to bend

I used to be on a forum where the guy used to build these and I'm pretty sure its the same guy, the demand for them was quite large as he had a good reputation for them being very good

Somebody is selling them on-line for 25 to 28 squds,,, they are coming from China as well

really I think for a few quid extra I would buy from the uk, maybe its not the same guy now, maybe they are all coming from china like most other gear does  ::)
