X4 107D TX video out - anyone succeeded?

Hi all,
Quick question for any of you that have the FPV version of the X4... have you tried plugging in goggles into the transmitter?

FPVcentral reviewed the Hubsan goggles and provided the following useful info... video in 3.5 mm

So I made a lead, but no composite video seems to be coming out of the TX no matter what I plug it into.... and I also tried a four way composite lead as well. Most FPV folks who post on this topic seem to be using FatShark etc. with this model which just use the 5.8Ghz video feed direct from the chopper itself, yet I can';t quite believe that Hubsan would make FPV goggles that wouldn';t work with this TX.... so it is a bit strange...

Anyway, any pointers very welcome in the unlikely event I figure it out I';ll post up a reply...
cheers

yeh ive don it with a set of quanum goggles mate and my fpv recorder (saves in none stupid letterbox format)

i can';t remember off the top of my head which jack i use (one works one doesnt) i';ll try and get a photo for you of it all set up

Ive used my fatsharks ... outside I get 20 ft if Im lucky .. the tx does wander and I have to keep pairing them to get a good channel

oddly it works much better indoors

want to try plugging it into my uno5800 and use a monitor

hope you get it sorted

yes mate, all wired from the TX.

however I have found a much more reliable video link using my VRX and a patch antenna on the same channel as the x-4. the antenna in the hubsan TX is highly directional and to be honest a little bit dog egg!

will get it all hooked up now and take a pic for you

all you need is a 4-pole 3.5mm jack to phono';s. it doesnt matter how it';s wired up as long as the ground is in the right place, all it means is that video may not come from yellow it may come from another colour (in my case with this adapter "white")

just plug it in to the top jack and then you can view the same picture on the TX on any display with an "analogue in"

reck

cool, I';ll check it out tomorrow as I';ve got one of those leads... cheers mate!
