MultiWii Pro MTK GPS Help!!!!

I have just left the world of DJI and entered into the world of banging my head against the wall with the MultiWii. My project right now is a 230 class mini quad and I';ve got the throttle ranges set for the ESC and for a while I was being able to get the craft to arm and react to my sticks with whatever was loaded on it straight from HK.

The issue started when I tried to hook up to the GUI software and couldn';t get it to work. I went ahead and downloaded one of the many Zip folders out there claiming to have ready to fly code, but after putting the new firmware on my board, I can';t get this thing to do anything at all. I';ve tried several "ino" files but nothing works. I even tried a thread on this forum,

,but after editing the config.h as stated, still nothing.

I';ve looked at some of the files available from HK, (labeled on their site MultiWii_2.3_MTK GPS Working and MWC2.3_WORKING_WORKING_WORKING) but I don';t know how to update my board with out arduino.

Any body out there know of any sure to work firmware or have any advice for this newb? I';m not really sure where to go from here and I';m starting to wish I';d just stuck with what the board came with since the motors would at least arm.

Don';t know if it helps but I';ve included a screen capture of the error message when I open the GUI.

if your using 2.3 firmware make sure your using 2.3 GUI       sounds like your using maybe 2.2 with 2.3

Indeed, I believe you were right! I figured out how to get one of the 2.3 firmwares loaded and it worked with my 2.3 GUI. Got everything to work on there but still can';t get a GPS lock or get my motors to arm. The compass and the horizon display thing are working though so I';m at least getting closer.
