Sorry about the video quality, the light was very poor and my son is not brilliant with a camera (he';s only 10) - however it flew really well. No camera gimbal attached on the first test just in case but I should be able to get on board video very soon now. Gave it a few bounces to see if it would stay level as in the previous frame versions and it responded perfectly...

Take off weight 4.3Kg  with 8s 10,000mah (4s 5000mah parallel)

Looking good and that';s some nice testing space you got there  ::)
If you find yourself in danger of being taken seriously, then try to do something which undermines or sabotages that perception in some way.

That looks impressively stable for a maiden test flight. I like the LEDs as well - a nice effect. 10mm coloured LEDs definitely have a good presence to them. Red and green for port and starboard makes a lot of sense. I';ve found in the past that if you have too much symmetry left and right you can sometimes confuse front and back - will you add any more of a third colour to the front (or the back) to counteract this effect or are you just better at telling those apart than I am?

What';s the flight controller in the thing?
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

Looking very promising indeed.

Just a quick question...I can only see two batteries, so I assume you meant 4S 10000mah, as for 8S you';d connect in series. Were there two more batteries we couldn';t see?

The batteries are 2 X 4s 500mah - which would be 8s4p I think - flight time of about 14 minutes but yet to be tested properly.

I';m adding some additional LEDs to the 3 Back motors but I';m also hoping the shape changes a bit with the gimbal on. Flight controller is the APM2 - its also driving the LEDs from the BEC on one of the the ESCs.

If they are connected in parallel (ie like jump starting a car battery) the voltage would stay the same ie 4S and the mah would be doubled.

I suspect you have 4S 10000mah :)
