Just got in from a brilliant night in St Ives .... it was absolutely packed with people in fancy dress of all kinds shapes and ages and this year Cornwall Council put on a stunning fireworks display on the harbour wall at midnight ....

Yes it does look that way - Suzuki have not done well at all in the US and are making rediculous offers to buy their cars but it';s not getting them anywhere.

Now I';m not ';in'; to Happy New Year at all - I can';t help thinking of all the HNY wishes that are made to people who then go on to have dreadful years   
I mean everyone wished me a HNY in 2008 & 2009 & 2010 and they were all crap 

So it';s all bollox .............  except that 2011 was mildly better.... I suppose ... in that my son came out of 3 years of autistic hibernation and then psssed his driving test ....and then 2012 was absolutely totally stonking and the best year ever for me and mine as he then got an unconditional place at University and has just successfully completed his first term   

SO ........ I';m going to break with my tradition of not wishing HNY and I am going to pick just one of you to carry all my HNY wishes ... it';s a heavy burden .....but ... after much deliberation it';s going to be you .... yes.... you 

So from me here in S W Cornwall I wish you who';s currently reading this the most Happy New Year ever   

The rest of them can just get on and have the best year they can with the cards they';re dealt ... tough
