Using a Spektrum Satellite Rx with CC3D (and other tasks)

Hi
Now I';ve started to get used to using my CC3D boards, (well, actually I only have one as I lost the first!) and liking/understanding the GCS assistant software more and more, I';m interested in utilising a spare Spektrum +DSMx satellite rx I have lying around, to free up some real estate to house my fpv cam tilt mechanism at the front of my Wasp 250.
As an aside, last night I decided to bite the bullet and design cobble up a way of having the fpv cam tilt automatically to counteract the tilt of the quad (now I';m starting to enjoy whipping the horses so to speak ).  Anyhow, of course I toyed with the idea of having the cam tilted up permanently(fixed) but it would have to be at such a rake which would make slower (in the tight areas) very difficult pointing up at the sky!!  It';s also a bit ';low tech'; seeing as how this board is so useful
So, a quick gander at the handsomely appointed and sage Open Copter ';Wiki'; and I had it working in moments.  That was the easy part!  Now comes the tricky job of cramming it into the front of my 250 home brewed quad.
Backtracking for a mo, and for those of you who have not done this yet, it is really a simple case of enabling the gimbal support on a tab in the GUI, rebooting, then configuring the parameters in the ';Output'; and corresponding settings in the ';motor'; page,  Believe me, it';s easier than I make it sound!

So the satelite bit: http://wiki.openpilot.org/display/Doc/Spektrum+Satellite

THe video:

Demo of using satellite receiver with CopterControl from Broken Rotor on Vimeo.</p>
N.B This video appears to have been made using an older version of GCS, so the process may be slightly different (simpler I think!).
Mmmm...Can';t wait!

I';m in the process of obtaining a power micro power board to step down the voltage to 3.3 for the satelllite Rx, and there appear to be several available made by dev';s.
If anybody knows a UK source for these please feel free to shout!

More later!

Andy

No, thanks tupoar.  THat';s just a generic one.  THey are like this:

As I say, one or two forum dev';s have made them, and I have emailed one of them.  I just wondered if anybody on here has obtained one from these shores?  Or indeed may have a spare lurking in a draw!?

Well, I had a quick poke around, got one here: http://www.hobbytronics.co.uk/d24v3f3-3v3-regulator  Looks like a little fettlin'; in the offering, but it should do the trick.  I';ve had a slight knock back, I';m reading (from older posts) that DSMX sat';s are not supported, only DSM2, but that was seemingly with the older firmware.  I';ll give it a try, and report back!

I have used the solder version on a Naze 32 and it worked fine, alternatively you can use a diode to drop the voltage to 3.3v
Not much kit, but what I have I like
