OK, so today was not a good day to do a quick bit of fpv, although at least I was at home, not over water.

Took a fair hammering, hope that you can salvage enough to rebuild.

If I can help just let me know.

Jumpy07

Yikes,

What do you think happened ? ... looks expensive..

Sorry to see that Balders expensive crash what on earth happened   :(

teslahed

O dear, that looks very unfortunate.

I';ve had a few experiences like that - it';s never fun :cry

I hope you get something back in the air ASAP.

can only guess one motor had an issue, whatever that may have been, just been outside again to pick up splinters, found a motor about 20ft away from where rest was, may have come off post or pre crash, not sure.  It just sort of suddently barrel rolled out of the sky.

You can get lens repair kits for the GoPro if the rest is ok...

Might be more cost effective to buy a second hand one though...

Was it in the protective case ?..

That looks like a whole load of OUCH! I';m sure you can get lens repair kits at a lower price. There';s also normal flat lens replacements instead of the fish eye lenses that Gopro';s come with.

Just think of the fun you';ll have rebuilding mate :)

Ouch! accept my heartfelt condolences.  :( anyways, back on that horse again and keep the flag flyin.

You say maybe one motor cocked up? i though Naza Hexas could compensate for the loss of one motor or prop and land safely?

mickyt

Crikey sorry to see that mate I spanked mine Christmas Day two motors three props, thought I';d got away with one arm but three were knackered I was lucky the ground was soft due to the weather hope you get it sorted ASAP. As to the naza I spoke to Geoff at quadcopters uk he said you stand mor chance of recovery with the wookong but it would still be pretty hairy.
If someone throw's a stone at you throw a flower at them just remember to throw the pot with it.

Gav

OUCH Balders.  I can do the lens replacement if you want - done it a couple of times now for friends who have butchered the lens on their go pro.  But I am sure a man of your calibre can sort it.

cheers
Gav

That';s rough, sorry to see it - hope you get things fixed up soon!

Balders

I';m in two minds to sell it as is on fleabay and buy new (or possibly a GP3 or Nex 5/7) or repair.

Gonna sleep on it.  Old frame is completely stripped of good bits, rest in the bin :)

Ah yes, i just found it in the Wookong firmware update release notes Version 5.16 ,

The Naza does not seem to have this recovery function.

gutted for ya man gutted did you find your fpv camera in the end ?
If you find yourself in danger of being taken seriously, then try to do something which undermines or sabotages that perception in some way.

Yup, found in in the gutter of the garage roof!  Rescued a few bits of plastic too, so looks like it hit the roof and ended up on the car bonnet :(
