Long Range Quad...

Firstly, just got to say there's a few moths in this sub-forum, last post was 2017 :)

I've been thinking about buying a new quad to try some longer range flights but a friend said to me why not just do it with the Disco..?

Well my TBS Disco has been gathering dust for some years and never really got flown that much before I got bored of quads and switched to planes.  It occurs to me I could convert this and try some longer range flights. I have a spare EZUHF receiver and 200mw 1.3ghz vtx so I'm thinking... Why not?!

Some of the parts on it take me back. I have an EZOSD on there for an OSD and a 250mw Fatshark vtx. Probably the one I got with my first pair of goggles! :)

Other parts currently on there:
SunnySky 2212 980KV motors
AfroESC 30a
Naza Lite (Hacked to run full NAZA M)
FPV Cam: Something out of the ark :)

I could probably get better range buying all new parts and getting a 7" quad but this is sat there doing nothing and will cost me nothing.  Thoughts on whether this is a good idea or just pointless..?  Also wonder how a modern F4 board would cope in there..!

Give it a go. Naza has rth so should be fine. F4 would need iNav which has come on but might take some settings and not sure you would gain much. maybe better osd.
I try :-)

Yeah OSD would be better, or more integrated at least.
