Advice on buying a TBS Discovery via eBay

There seems to be a glut of TBS Discovery quads selling on eBay for less than £300 ready to fly. My brother is actively looking to buy one at around that sort of price, but we live in Scotland, so witnessing a test flight will be difficult as the sellers are all down in England.
So, can anyone advise on whether this is too good to be true (maybe they are all built from cheap cloned hardware being passed off as genuine) and should we only bid on something we have eyeballed up close?

If I recall correctly, the quadcopters.co.uk PNF package is just over £300-320, so anything under £300 second hand isn';t too much of a stretch. That said, I';d request time-stamped video demonstrating it in the air before I commit to buy
TBS Discovery + ghetto printed gimbal, HovershipMHQ 1 & 2, QAV250, Turnigy Talon V2, chinese Alien500 thingie, 3d Printed Tricopter, Bix 3, Flyingwings.co.uk FalconEVO, Venturi EVO 1+2, Hornet Racing Wing, Radjet800 (by the dozen)... Permanent sucker for FPV, and lots and lots of OpenLR

If you want I have a LR tbs pro, I would sell for £1500 lol

Did the buyer witness a test flight or just bid and buy?
Also, did you get a good price for it or did it go for less than you expected to get for it?
I guess I';m a bit risk averse, although I did buy my last DSLR from eBay for about £400!
I think there are more pitfalls to avoid when buying a quad.
What do you think?

I';ll check their website and compare to what';s on eBay. Good advice on the video - thanks

My xmas present Discovery came from ebay, brand new.  I chose my present because I thought building my own would be too tricky.
The Disco that came was good and bad, It had fake DJI arms and the wiring was ok';ish.
Bottom line, build your own unless you see some mega cheap bargin.
