Anyone using Desire Power battery';s?  I';ve ordered two Tunigy as always stick to what I use.. However I';ve seen the desire power one on a number of UAV sights and wondered what poeples/user thoughts were..

Come across them yesterday and the guy that sells them has given some positive feed back about them.  He builds S800'; and says that he hasn';t had any issues with them what so ever..

Quote:" I have only ever used the Desire batteries on the DJI S800 systems I build for clients, these are the 6s 8300 mAh LiPo';s and I have never had one let me down, I think the Desire range are very good, no doubt they cost a little more than some other brands, however I don';t like to take any chances with £10k';s worth of copter in the air! The 4s batteries are made up from the same cells which go into the 6s packs, just two less cells in the 4s pack. I have not had any complaints about them either from customers, so all in all I think they are very good and deliver a power curve."

Might get one in to try..

Ive been involved with rc in one way or another for a long time and seen many lipo brands make similar claims to be honest they all do, but time will tell and feedback from the end user is what will show if these packs are good or bad  ~~

:hmm: Could it be that some batteries last longer than others due to the care with which a model  is flown?
3D type flying sucks the guts out of a battery whereas  steady flying just treats the battery in a much milder manner?

A collegue flies his heli quietly (no aeros) ...he has had the same batteries for over a hundred charges and discharges and still going strong.  He keeps a log of charging date and "flying hours" and has logged 80 hours with them so far.  Bog standard  batts that came with the model.

Let's be careful out there.
SAFETY is.. NO accident.

Gaza07

Yea I agree good lipo care is going to make a big difference but a crap lipo is crap even if you take care of it, as an example a few years ago the flight power brand was very good cost more but gave good service and lasted well,
when the brand was relaunched I thought great I will get some, not only did I have trouble getting them delivered which is a whole story in its self, but when the packs arrived I checked the internal resistance with my charger and it was higher on the new packs than its was on my old well used zippy flight max packs, so no amount of care is going to make these packs last   ~~

Agree looking after one of the main components of your equipment is a must!   I';ve kept flight logs ect balanced often if not all the time..  I';ve seen a lot of UK suppliers using these which made me think is it worth a try.. However having an expensive kit now I don';t want to be a tester and have the thing drop out the sky..  Nothing ventured nothing gained but could be an expensive venture..  :frantic:

I';m still waiting for a delivery from HK on tunigys like waiting for paint to dry..  :waiting:

If I can find a better supplier for the same price I would stay with Turnigy.. Arhhhhh what to do LOL
